..about the designer.

Kristie Burrill has a long and diverse history in the fashion industry.  While still finishing the fashion design program at the University of Washington, she was hired as a pattern designer for Roffee ski wear.  Before long, she climbed abaord as Associate Costume Designer for the Seattle Opera. She was in charge of drafting the patterns, cutting the fabric, fitting the costumes and constructing and supervising union sewers to complete the costumes for Seattle Opera's forst "Wagner Ring Cycle", as well as a few key costumes for The Pacific Northwest Dance Company's first "Nutcracker."   She graduated with a BA in fashion design and lived in Seattle for 39 years, designing designing custom clothing for Seattle's elite.  She also taught fashion design, patternmaking, draping and garment construction, as a guest instructor at Seattle Central Community College and at Spectrum, the U.W's continuing education program.

Her dream was to design a line of clothing featuring high-end fabrics created in classic and timeless designs.  Many of the pieces are bias-cut, so are more flattering, comfortable to wear and constructed for easy alterations.

Her creations are in silk, wool, linen, cotton.  Many pieses are made with men's tropical suiting wool, so pack light and wear well for travel.  The pieces are easy to coordinate and layer, so adapt to a variety of ocassions, requiring fewer pieces to buy or pack.
